How to use classroom equipment
Speakers
Each classroom should have a set of speakers on the wall above the whiteboard or on the teacher’s desk. These can be used for watching videos and meetings (Please let the IT team know if you find a room with missing speakers)
How to use: Plugged in via an audio jack to the computer, speakers will need to be plugged into a wall socket for power. Audio is adjusted via a swivel on the speaker or controller on the wire.
Potential problems and solutions:
Audio jack could be unplugged (check back of computer if the cable is plugged in),
not plugged in at the wall (check the plug and power is in),
damaged audio cable (check the wire for any damage)
no sound playing (check the speaker sound is up and the sound on your computer is up as well, even check the video you are on)
If you find you are tried all troubleshooting methods and it is still not working, please get in touch with the IT team for help.

How to use: Plugged in via USB to the computer, no external power needed. You can adjust the focus with the lens and move the angle of the visualiser using the neck (although they are not designed for continuous movement)
Potential problems and Solutions:

visualiser not on (check USB is plugged in and not damaged)

A minimal number of rooms will have a webcam installed instead of a visualiser to be used to project items to the class or use as a webcam for meetings. (Please let the IT team know if you find a room with a missing webcam or visualiser)
How to use: Plugged in via USB to the computer, no external power needed. Unfortunately, you there is not movability with static webcams only up and down to find the right angle of where you head is. Some webcams will come with adjustable focus as well just using the lens.
Potential problems and Solutions:
