How to do a password reset for students
As you know, many students will forget their passwords daily, however, there is a quick and easy way to reset these passwords with little fuss. Please follow the instructions below, only if you are unable to reset the student’s password, Please contact the IT team for further help.
Step 1. In your windows start menu, search for “password”. Your top result should be the password reset tool which you need to click into. Please see to the right to see what the programme will look like.
Step 2. Search the students name you need to reset in the “Student Name” box.
Step 3. Select the student’s name you need from the list box below. This will highlight in the box to the right once it is selected.
Step 4. When you have selected the student, press the “reset” button. If you have followed the instructions correctly, at the bottom it will show a message stating what the new password is.
